In the Garden
there are days when I feel lonely
yet, I remember
while Adam still lived in the garden
where the moments felt like hours
where blessings flowed from the wonders
where hope beckoned from the shadows
reminding Adam, revealing to Eve
the kindness, the peace, the promise
of love that would never fade away
love that is alive, more powerful than the light
as He walks with them through the garden
silencing all their fears
wiping away each tear
encouraging love so real….
there are days when I just don’t know
yet, I can feel His love
rising up inside my soul, as I trudge
past the pain, past the heartbreak
through the losses – not counting the cost
of loving without conditions, with a love
that comes from His gift to me
love that rises up to meet me as I weep
love that restores the gentle in me
love that refuses to see the worst
as more than a lesson, more than a message
to the heart who needs to gather
from the garden…
peace that never leaves, peace that agrees
His love is with me, through everything
inviting me to listen to stillness, the truth
abiding inside the one who hears, such security
in knowing the One who prayed, in the garden
murmuring, “Thy Will be done”
even in His pain, despite the agony
of a cross that could kill the body,
a cross that could leave the heart silent
a cross that could silence the hope…
while reassuring the soul, this is the story He wrote
across the burning hearts, the spirits
of those who believe He has risen
and He’s given each of us a second chance
as we pass through the storms, walk in our gardens
praying for the right words, the right dreams, the right
that assures us we’re right with our Maker,
right with this Creator, who put Adam and Eve in the garden,
then came to them, each evening – walking with them
seeking a relationship that would never grow cold,
a bond between the Father and the child
that was the source of a love so tender, so alive…
in the garden, He blessed the sacred grown
and it grew – joy and hope
feelings that were meant to restore the heart’s faith
grace that would cause each fear to melt away
love that would silence the darkness of hate
light from One who is the reason I pray…
for love to rise up and silence my sin, reminding me
why I am living for Him, the One who is love, light and more
He is the answer to every fear I’ve known
He is the answer to every tear I’ve worn
He is the reason I know – even though evil thought it’d won
God, while walking through His garden…
revived His only Son – oh, look what love has done!
Just look what love has done!!!

He Makes All Things New
In the quiet of the morning,
While life is still sleeping – sometimes snoring
My heart breathes peace from His glory
Silence bleeds grief, while my eyes weep
Summoning the Spirit who can see
Beyond my trembling hands, before
When I was still but not so sad…
He knows the lessons, the prayers, the desires
My heart, a fire, sometimes leaving out
The beautiful flowers who rustle and move
In His garden, where I’m more like a shadow
Than the light who proves…
Love is in each petal, each whisper of dew
Each flavor of bloom – hushed by the truth
Beneath my soul’s praise, where the light shines
There is a living grace, a soothing embrace
The singing of God’s ways….
Inside, where He is the love that resides
Stirring hope into night, rousing the morning
Softest light, swirling on the edges
Blessing shadows with a feeling – He is
There, always giving – forever living
Restoring the heart who believes His voice
Colors the soul with a new, a fresh, another
Way, a thanks – we say….
Because His love never walks away
He is here to stay,
The wonder of a faith that never pauses,
Despite the darkness, all the losses
He is the love that collects in prayers
Falls like the morning dew,
Always clinging to hearts, His truth
Never walking away from you,
Forever there, in the old and new
Forever there, to prove – it’s true
God’s love is like the dawn…
Walking on and on – the morning Son
Who rises to make all things new
Who rises to still the darkest fear
Who rises to restore souls everywhere!

Never Gone
In a collection of feathers, beneath an apple tree
in gentle lessons, mistook for the eager dreams
who fade into the sunrise, the twilight, the fires
love’s sanctity – never bitter, always perfect
feathers of softest hues, beautiful glimpses of robin’s robes
forming blankets, crazy quilt patterns, in the spongy green
a carpet growing in spite of the rotten left
from autumn’s orchard, decomposing, decay
fallen feathers from gentle birds who know God’s treasures
He is alive and He is love
their music travels, from the limbs, through the woods
carrying rhythms of breathless praises, praising the One who stills
each grief, restores each soul with a hope,
for He will always make a way – even a way to escape the grave
even a way to escape the shame and disgrace
even a way – because He surely saves
and the apple tree, with its ungrateful limbs, struggling
to bend away from the overcast, the shadows, the hidden
wings believe in the love that comes to us from the gardener
who knows – even the shadows know – the light still grows
beneath the darkest dread, despite the shadow’s gray
the light will never fade away, completely lost,
because He paid the cost… the light is never gone
it grows, it glows on and on,
love is never absent.

I Trust Him I love the flowers and the birds I love the feelings, the caress of His wind like breath from the heavens, breath of love falling on my spirit, speaking grace and hope in vibrant hues, petals stirred by the gusts petals in luminous yellow, a lavender that tells of joy a wonder, so amazed – my heart will praise the One who brought my heart to life… with the music of roses and daisies, songs flavored by dandelion’s fading from the meadows, the forests, the prayer of our hearts who seek His love, His gentle whisper of light, glowing on our spirits, freeing and exciting, igniting the soul so the blessings pour from heaven. Blessings of light, blessings of joy, blessings of peace who stills even the darkness with all of its grief even the dread that comes from disbelief even the stories who stir the rains we seek, rains to nourish, rains to feed our souls – His love is more than joy His love is more than hope His love is more than glory His love is the song of my soul His love is the grace that brings life His love is the reason my heart decided To give Him my soul and agree to follow, trusting the love That comes to those who seek His light, even in the darkest night I believe. He is my life. Like the flowers, who grow despite the night I trust His amazing sacrifice. I trust Him to give me a new life.
In heaven, hearts will agree… love is the answer, love is the key - quote by Regina McIntosh
