In The Light (hidden acrostic) beyond this world, high up in the skies there is a nature beyond our comprehension where heaven transcribes with faith to baptize this is a home too amazing not to mention hallelujahs encourage the souls who believe in our Savior, whose love will not deceive He is the answer for everyone who is in need He is light that is everlasting, despite our greed although hearts may worry or grieve our past He offers grace and love that will always last!
“Ask,” promised Jesus, “and it will be given to you” (Matthew 7:7). “You do not have because you do not ask,” said James (James 4:2). Even though there is no limit to God’s goodness, if you didn’t ask Him for a blessing yesterday, you didn’t get all that you were supposed to have. That’s the catch—if you don’t ask for His blessing, you forfeit those that come to you only when you ask. In the same way that a father is honored to have a child beg for his blessing, your Father is delighted to respond generously when His blessing is what you covet most.

It Started With A Blank Canvas Solitude, the lonely word most people like to sidestep around. ~ quote by poet I love the solitude that silences my doubts, The solitude that blends with silence, like a song, Breathing wonder into each thought, Whispering light into each verse, Gentling the nights with tenderness and hope. I love the solitude that warms my spirit, The solitude that lifts the darkness and prepares me, For the trembling laughter of a happy ending, Reflecting all that is honest, all that is beautiful, All the joy that stirs up the poetry within my dreams. I love the solitude that says to me… believe. Believe in the colors God is painting on your heart, Believe in the grace God is pouring on your soul, Believe in the light God breaths into your nights, Believe in the joy God brings to the story of your life. I love the solitude that is soundless and defeats… Every fear, each anxiety – The solitude that brings hearts a moment of solace, Deafening the noise of the cold, heartless world, Erasing the darkness that overpowers all that I know. I love the solitude that started with a blank canvas, Added softest rose and pristine lilacs, Peaceful cerulean and milky pearls, like gestures Of light drenched in heaven’s mosaic of beautiful, Signs of wonder blazing through the heart and soul. Solitude, often feared by the hearts who shake, At the revelations of a spiritual incredulity, Spirits unburdened by doubts or dictations of tradition, Spirits who can see past the endings, into the everlasting, Where there abides a silent joy so secret, so stealthy… This solitude is God’s gift, His blessing, to the heart who can hear, Beneath the seas of impassioned tears, A glorious melody of what it means to create the art, That starts with that blank canvas and spreads light, fighting shadows, All over the world where life seeks to be understood, Where God’s voice can pass through the mind’s mysteries, Into the spirit where we can worship, the way He intended worship to be.
Everyone then who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock. The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on rock. (Matt 7:24–25) But why does Jesus think his words are a foundation for wisdom and wise behavior? The answer lies in his awareness that all his words and actions have their source in his prayerful experience of his Abba. He experienced the flow of God’s energy so completely that God became tangible in his life. He told his disciple Thomas, How can you say, “Show us the Father?” Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own; but the Father who dwells in me does his works. Believe me [that is, entrust yourself to me] that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; but if you do not, then believe me because of the works themselves. (John 14:8–12) Jesus’ words and behavior seem to tell us that his times of prayer were opportunities to respond to God’s initiative and place himself in the flow of God’s energy. He prayed because he knew that it was the only way to become “a living being.” The same is true for every person. Prayer is the source and sustaining power of human life.

Walking In The Light
Darkness falls, crushing the life out of smiling
Sunshine rays, pouring breathless
Hues of grace – inspiration …
Through the spirit who remembers the dawn,
Its uplifting whispers and smooth smile
Enchanting as the kindness it portrays with
Blessings breathed from the golden light
Darkness betrays every caress, each kiss
From the musical prayers emptied
On the clear, luminous thoughts, the prayers
Prayed from virtuous hearts,
Pleas for promises, rich and vibrating
In tenderness, gentle musings… alive
Like the color of faith and the crisp echoes
Silent sun, erasing every doubt
Repeating the hope that is everlasting
Dancing beneath a lively, healing ball of courage
Darkness erects a wall of despair, dread
For the days when clouds wipe out
The impressions of energy quietly sparkling
In an azure sky, as the world passes by
Thinking only thoughts of compassion, peace
Serenity brought to mind by this precious rising
From a Son who knows that our souls
Are in need of saving – in need of an awakening…
Darkness drives home the word “No”
While the Son sings of faith and blessings,
The “Yes” that survives every night
Promising to rain down its pure, sweet light
As the breath of dawn invites the whole world
To sing psalms and praises… to touch the One
Who raises up the Son to save everyone!
A Thankful Heart
Take nothing for granted, for whenever you do,
The joy of enjoying is lessened for you.
For we rob our own lives much more than we know
When we fail to respond or in any way show
Our thanks for the blessings that daily are ours—
The warmth of the sun, the fragrance of flowers,
The beauty of twilight, the freshness of dawn,
The coolness of dew on a green velvet lawn,
The kind little deeds so thoughtfully done,
The favors of friends and the love that someone
Unselfishly gives us in a myriad of ways,
Expecting no payment and no words of praise.
Oh, great is our loss when we no longer find
A thankful response to things of this kind.
For the joy of enjoying and the fullness of living
Are found in the heart that is filled with thanksgiving. —HSR
