Luke 1:41 “And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:” The baby leapt inside her womb, a feeling, blessed – by the One who we call Love, a story bruised, by the darkness of the heartless a beautiful hue, of light that brings us through The baby knew, despite the worst fear, love was coming true, blessings were near because of the music heard by his spirit singing, on cue, the wonder – so much truth The baby felt the presence of a King, knew, beyond doubting, this King would reign, His story was pure, poured out on the hurting soon, we would appreciate love that is all knowing The baby knew, when all was said and done, the voice of the Master would stir heartfelt hope, the presence of grace beyond what words can speak confirmed that a Savior was coming, One so meek. The baby jumped within its mother’s womb, completely sure that love had breathed the news, the most precious story was beginning to unfold, a gentle light glowed on the hearts who knew… the baby knew, and leapt to share its news this was the moment when heaven’s sacrifice would come to the earth, a gift from God’s heart His only Son, who would share a part of the Holy light The baby felt the wonder that is so amazing the miracle who is so beautiful we all praise Him, the kiss of a hope more astonishing than words can say, this is the blessing of a love that won’t turn anyone away. The baby knew, beyond the shadow of a doubt this was the answer, what our life is all about, the authentic voice of joy that will never fade, the trembling love of One who came to save. The baby recognized the promise that was near, the sweet hope that would end our every fear, the kindness that would heal our every ill, the presence of a love that will always fulfill. The baby knew, despite all the sorrow we might face, there are so many blessings in the gentleness of grace, there is One, there in Mary’s womb, who will keep us from the darkness of a lonely doom, a dreaded fate… because He left behind an empty tomb, there is the assurance that His love is true, when we meet Him and He forgives our sins, we know the meaning of a love that will never end. Oh, that baby – all those many years passed knew there was a Savior, forming beneath Mary’s heart, an everlasting healer, a grace that will never die, a hope that lasts throughout all time – ONE who brings eternal life… Jesus, the King – my only hope the Savior who I cling to, because I know without Him, I’d be lost and unable to cope without Him, I’d be without this precious hope!
